The Mumbai Indians are a side known to command and compete hard. They have been pretty commanding all season and are aptly in the Finals. With the bat, the top four has been very settled with Matthews and Sciver Brunt leading the charge. All-round strength from their top four has further added to the depth, making the task easier for Harmanpreet Kaur.
Delhi Capitals though have a top four which is just as good. Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma, Marizanne Kapp, Jemimah Rodriguez and Alice Capsy have provided a lot of solidity in the line-up. With strong top orders Harmanpreet Kaur and Meg Lanning get set for yet another battle.
Date: March 26th 2023
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Brabourne Stadium
The Weather at Brabourne Stadium is pretty good for the upcoming game.
With short boundaries and a good batting track runs should be easier to come by and batting second will be a better option.
Played- 0 | Delhi Capitals- 1 | Mumbai Indians- 1
Shafali Verma, Alice Capsey, Meg Lanning, Jemimah Rodriguez, Laura Harris, Marizanne Kapp, Taniya Bhatia, Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadhav, Poonam Yadav, Jess Jonassen
Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Harmanpreet Kaur, Priyanka Bala, Yasthika Bhatia, Nat Sciver Brunt, Neelam Bisht, Pooja Vastrakar, Heather Graham, Issy Wong, Sonam Yadav
Hayley Matthews has looked good all season and has constantly threatened to take both the orange and purple caps. She is doing wonders with both bat and ball, and in a team full of all-rounders that eases the scenario wildly for the players behind her.
Meg Lanning has led the side very nicely throughout the tournament. She is no stranger to the big stage and knows exactly how to react when the going gets tough. Her performance with the bat too has been really good this year with some aggressive knocks.
Both Delhi and Mumbai have come to the Finals after playing some really good cricket. Given Meg Lanning’s record in the big stage and leadership qualities though, Delhi Capitals could hold an edge in the upcoming game.
