Despite most players not liking comparisons, cricket fans like to weigh in on who’s more talented – regardless of who’s playing at the time. Cricket fans are debating who is a better player, former India captain Virat Kohli or Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
In this debate, many fans and players have weighed in, with some supporting Kohli and others backing Babar Azam. Kohli, 33, has been competing on the international circuit longer than Babar, 27. According to Mohammed Shami, such a debate should begin after the Pakistan captain has played the same way for many more years. Shamir described Babar as a ‘great player’ but said he needed to do more to merit comparisons of this kind. ”Pakistan has been playing excellent cricket of late, and the emergence of three to four players has helped them immensely. There can be no doubt about the quality of Babar Azam. He cannot be compared to the likes of Steve Smith, Joe Root, or Virat Kohli. Shaki told India.com, “Let him play that long, then perhaps we can judge.” “For now, if he continues to play like that, then he will certainly end his career as one of Pakistan’s greatest players. I wish Babar Azam the best of luck,” he added.
Both Babar and Kohli are different types of players, so comparisons should not be drawn between them. Even though I think people shouldn’t make comparisons, I am happy that they do. There is no comparison between us. Shami has recently taken 14 wickets for India in the Test series in South Africa, representing India. He missed the ODI series and will not feature in the home series against the West Indies.
