Bangladesh is still winless. They probably do not have much hopes of making the Finals now, but will be very worried for the World Cup after the performances they have produced over the last few days. With their Golden Generation moving on, Bangladesh are in transition, and they are likely in for a tough few week.
Played- 16 | New Zealand- 13 | Bangladesh- 3 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Date: 12th October 2022
Time: 8:30 PM IST
Venue: Christchurch
The weather at Christchurch is clear with minimal chances of rain during the NZ vs BAN fixture.
The Christchurch track is playing well and with big boundaries spin should play a role. Batting second is still a better option.
Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Michael Bracwell, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Blair Tickner, Ish Sodhi
Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Sabbir Rahman, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mosaddek Hossain, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan (wk), Edabot Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman
James Neesham‘s performances have not been up to the mark leading into the World Cup. With his aggressive batting and ability to bowl anywhere in the innings, particularly in the death, he is an asset. However, without a central contract, he will need to find ways to prove he is an asset, or risk losing his place.
Shakib Al Hasan is the last one standing out of a group of Bangladesh Cricketers who took the team to new highs. With the team struggling, the dependence on him continues to increase and Bangladesh will hope he still has it in him to carry the team and save them from some tough results.
