Afghanistan and Pakistan had a very interesting game back in the T20 World Cup. Both sides have decent history between them and the Babar Azam vs Rashid Khan match-up is also a pretty interesting one. Based on recent form, both sides are doing well. Pakistan just beat India, chasing a stiff target. Afghanistan marched into the Super 4s but lost to Sri Lanka in their last game. They are still looking a very settled side and their batting in particular has taken a strong turn over the last few months.
Played- 2 | Afghanistan- 0 | Pakistan- 2 | Tie- 0
Date: 7th September 2022

Venue: Sharjah International Stadium
The weather is clear and warm for the evening of PAK vs AFG encounter.
The Sharjah Track is likely to be flat and good for batting. Dew will be a factor in the second half and the side batting second will be in with a huge advantage.
Hazratullah Zazai, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi, Samiullah Shinwari, Rashid Khan, Najibullah Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen-ul-Haq Murid, Fazalhaq Farooqi
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Naseem Shah
Babar Azam may be in a rough patch now but his wicket remains a key one. Rashid Khan has a pretty good record over him and both cricketers have had some good battles in the past. Rashid Khan himself is not in the greatest of form right now. He was carted in the Sri Lankan fixture, while he has not been among the wickets. With a fun match-up ahead, Rashid Khan will have to work his way through and get back his form.
Mohammad Nawaz is adding himself to a list of left-arm all-rounders who are in really good form around the World. Against India, he showed up with the bat, was really good, and is also pretty consistent with the ball.

Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are doing well in the ongoing Asia Cup. They have had clinical performances in this tournament. Going by the line-ups though, Pakistan are still ahead and should be favorites to win this game.
