Pakistan and England go head to head in the 2022 T20 World Cup Final on Sunday evening. Both teams had convincing wins in their semi-final fixtures. Pakistan beat New Zealand by seven wickets in Sydney with England beating India by 10 wickets in Adelaide. Pakistan were brilliant in their semi-final victory over New Zealand and have built up plenty of momentum with recent wins. They have talent across the side and will not be fearful of England. The batting display from England’s openers against India was one of the strongest seen in any game of IT20 cricket. England have a good record over Pakistan and will come into this final full of confidence.

A par score on this wicket will be over 170 and there will not be a great deal of assistance for the quick bowlers from the pitch. Overhead conditions could be more favourable to the fast and swing bowlers. Thunderstorms are forecast throughout the day in Melbourne on Sunday. There is a high chance of rain interruptions during the final.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

The opening batters on both sides produced half-centuries in their semi-final victories and getting early wickets will be key for both bowling attacks. Pakistan have more pace which could be crucial at the MCG. After an incredible 2022 T20 World Cup full of shocks and brilliant contests, the tournament concludes with this final. England were very impressive against a strong India side on Thursday but they will need their openers to produce a similar batting performance in this game. Overall, we think that Pakistan’s bowlers will cause England’s batters problems and are backing Pakistan to win the game and the tournament. Considering the team combination, England is expected to win this match.
