Pakistan vs Hong Kong in the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2022 at Sharjah. These two teams belong to Group A and both of them have lost to India in the group stages. The winner of this game will proceed to the Super 4 stage.
Pakistan is currently second on the Group A list due to their narrow defeat against India, while Hong Kong is at the last position on the list as they lost to India by a margin of 40 runs. However, a win is the only need to qualify further for both of them. Both teams would be aiming to improve on their weak areas and present a strong contention in this match.

Time: 07:30 PM IST
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah
The temperature is expected to hover around 35°C on the matchday with 45% humidity and 13 km/hr wind speed. There are no chances of precipitation during the game.
The Sharjah Cricket Stadium’s boundaries are not very huge and the pitch here is quite true and typically flat, but at times can also play a bit slow taking spinners into account. Batsmen generally enjoy batting here and the team winning the toss is expected to bat first in case no dew is anticipated to take part in the latter half.
Babar Azam(C), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shahnawaz Dahani
Nizakat Khan(C), Yasim Murtaza, Babar Hayat, Kinchit Shah, Aizaz Khan, Scott McKechnie (wk), Zeeshan Ali, Haroon Arshad, Ehsan Khan, Ayush Shukla, Mohammad Ghazanfar
Babar Hayat is a right-handed batsman from Hong Kong. He stacked 41 runs in the last game and the team will expect him to come in handy once again here. Babar played nicely against India (41 off 35 balls). He has the second-most runs for Hong Kong in T20Is (799), with the best average of any player (29.59).
Babar Azam is a right-handed batsman from Pakistan who opens the innings for them. He scored 10 runs in the last match. He will be aiming to capitalize on the start in this match. Azam will be after a big inning. In 12 T20 innings at Sharjah, the Pakistan captain has scored 380 runs at an average of 38.00 and a strike rate of 121.79.

That being said, Pakistan has enough depth and talent to get the job done. However, Hong Kong showed against India that they are here to offer a challenge, and they competed for much of the contest as Suryakumar Yadav proved to be a big difference. So, Babar Azam’s team can ill-afford to be complacent.
