After beating England in the first ODI of a 3-game series at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, South Africa have climbed up one spot, and are now in the 10th place in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In simpler words, the Proteas qualification for the 2023 World Cup in India will be impacted by this ODI series. Tempa Bavuma’s captaincy is under massive scrutiny only because he hasn’t led the Proteas to clinch any ODI series’ victory ever since South Africa clean swept Indian 3-0 back in early 2022. However, their most recent performance showcased how maturely South African players can handle pressure from the opposition.
South Africa vs England – 2nd ODI
Venue: Mangaung Oval – Bloemfontein
Date & Time: 29th January 2023 at 01:30 PM IST

The average batting score at Mangaung Oval is 240. But given the aggressive nature and style of attacking of players on both sides, each team will be wanting their batsman to set the score high with the pitch playing slow early on. This pitch also allowed some help for the seamers.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

Both teams have excellent players with both bat and ball but England have the self-belief built up from seven years of playing ODI cricket in this attacking manner and as the current World Champions. In the last four ODI games between these two sides South Africa has won twice, whereas England has won once, and there has been one game which was a no result contest. Our prediction is for England’s middle order to outscore South Africa and for England to go 1-0 up in the series. Considering the team combination, South Africa is expected to win this match.
