Match 5 of the 2022 T20 World Cup sees Scotland take on Ireland at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart on Wednesday afternoon. Scotland pulled off a huge surprise on Monday when they beat West Indies by 42 runs in their opening game. Ireland lost their first fixture to Zimbabwe by 31 runs. Scotland produced one of their most spectacular wins on Monday and will come into this clash full of confidence. They qualified for the Super 12 Stage last year and look set to do so again in 2022. Ireland won only one game during the 2021 T20 World Cup and once again, after one game, they look unlikely to progress to the next stage. Although they have a strong record against Scotland, this match will be very tough.
Scotland vs Ireland – 7th Match
Venue: Bellerive Oval – Hobart
Date & Time: 19th October at 9:30 AM IST

Although it is a reliable batting wicket, there is also something in this pitch for the pace and spin bowlers. We expect a par score of no more than 165-170. Sunny from start to finish in Hobart on Wednesday. The temperature will fall no lower than 17 degrees across this game.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

Although there is no guarantee that Scotland will produce another strong batting and bowling performance in this match, they come into this clash with batters and bowlers in excellent form. With the countries very close geographically, there will be an added bit of local derby tension in this game even though it is being played in Australia. Ireland will be disappointed to have lost to Zimbabwe whereas Scotland will still be delighted after their win over West Indies. We are backing Scotland to make it two wins from two games. Considering the team combination, Ireland is expected to win this match.
