Scotland vs New Zealand: A seemingly easy tour for New Zealand is coming to an end. They raced through the T20s creating some new records on the way and are in for a solitary ODI. Solitary ODIs are pretty rare, but Scotland will have some fond memories of such games after having beat England in a similar game few years ago.
Match: Scotland vs New Zealand
Date: 31st July 2022
Time: 3:30 PM IST
Venue: Graenge Cricket Club Ground, Edinburg
The weather during Scotland vs New Zealand game is clear with mild cloud cover.
The track is flat and run-scoring should be easy. Batting second is a better option on what is a fresh pitch.
Ollie Hairs. George Munsey, Richie Barrington(c), Matthew Cross(wk), Christopher McBride, Michael Jones, Michael Leask, Adrian Neill, Gavin Main, Hamza Tahir, Chris Sole
Martin Guptill, Dane Cleaver, Michael Bracewell, Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Blair Tickner
Ish Sodhi tends to go unnoticed among leg-spinners around the World. He is one of the best going around though with his variations and wicket-taking ability. He is still taking wickets, and has also been doing a fair job against strong sides as well.
The game may have been out of hand but Greaves did a decent job. He batted well for his 31 to help give his side some confidence in their lower order. His lower order batting continues to go well and he will be crucial in helping Scotland get some priceless runs in the back.
Scotland are still not in great shape. The ODI format may be a tougher one for them as New Zealand race through another game on this tour.
