Sri Lanka and Afghanistan play their third and final ODI on Wednesday afternoon in Pallekele. Afghanistan won the first game of the series but the second game ended as no result after rain arrived in the second half of the match. Read on as we preview this match with points up for grabs in the 2020-23 World Cup Super League. This ODI gets underway at 14:30 local time at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka put in an excellent performance with the ball on Sunday, reducing Afghanistan from 135-1 to 228 all out (48.2). When the rain arrived, the hosts were on top and they will be confident of winning this ODI. Afghanistan will have been disappointed with their final total in the second game of the series but the good form of Rahmanullah Gurbaz is very encouraging. They fear no team in any format of cricket.
Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan – 3rd ODI
Venue: Pallekele Cricket Stadium – Kandy
Date & Time: 30th November at 02:30 PM IST

This game will be played on the same wicket as was used in the opening ODI so expect the pace of the surface to drop slightly. That said, there will still be good carry and a par score will be around 290. Light rain is forecast across the opening two hours of this game but we expect to still see plenty of play in this match with dry conditions from the early evening onwards.
No Injury. It will be added when there is an update

Sri Lanka looked far stronger in Sunday’s game than in the opening match of the series. Although Afghanistan will still be competitive, we expect Sri Lanka to be too strong in this match. Although the second ODI could not be completed, there have been many entertaining moments in this series so far. We are expecting another well contested match on Wednesday but this time we expect Sri Lanka to have the edge with both the ball and the bat. Afghanistan’s batting is not consistent enough across their top and middle order and we are backing Sri Lanka to win the ODI. Considering the team combination, Sri Lanka is expected to win this match.
