Sri Lanka got hammered in the previous SL vs AFG fixture between both sides. Afghanistan completed one of their most comprehensive wins as they blew Sri Lanka away with the ball and slammed them with the bat. Afghanistan are looking very commanding. They beat both teams in different fashions as they were under slight pressure against Bangladesh. The batting depth they possess is pretty good and their bowlers are pretty famous as everyone knows. With SL likely to come up with a fightback there is a very exciting encounter on offer.
Played- 2 | Sri Lanka- 1 | Afghanistan- 1 | No Result- 0
Date: 3rd September 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Sharjah International Cricket Stadium
Sharjah is likely to be dry and hot during the SL vs AFG fixture.
The Sharjah track is dry but will probably be easy to bat on with small boundaries helping the team batting second.
Danushka Gunathilaka, Pattum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Kusal Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Dhananjaya De Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Chamika Karunaratne
Hazratullah Zazai, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi, Samiullah Shinwari, Rashid Khan, Najibullah Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen-ul-Haq Murid, Fazalhaq Farooqi
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was in explosive form in the first game. He will have the same bowlers ahead of him in the upcoming game and will probably be licking his lips in advance. He is a wonderful stroke maker, and hardly loses his shape, making it easy for him to tackle the new ball early on.
Against Afghanistan, Wanindu Hasaranga was forced to bowl early. He is still not among the wickets or runs and will be looking to find some success soon. He is a World Class bowler, and with a tough side against them he will be waiting to get on the field and take them on.

SL are a good side when cornered but AFG are looking very rampant. They are looking unstoppable and some interesting encounters are likely to come up. With AFG doing really well, they will have an advantage against a Sri Lankan side that is still finding its way.
