UAE are showing some promise in international cricket. They did enough to challenge Bangladesh, and while they did not win, the performances put up were pretty encouraging. Facing Netherlands, they should find it easier and could push Netherlands a little more, given Netherlands are not having such a great time out in the international circuit.
Played- 8 | United Arab Emirates – 4 | Netherlands – 4 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Date: 16th October 2022
Time: 1:30 PM IST
Venue: South Geelong, Victoria
The weather at South Victoria is clear and a full game is expected, although there could be a cold breeze and some chilly temperatures.
The Geelong track is normally good for batters. The boundaries are also pretty small and run-scoring should be pretty easy. Batting second will be a better option.
Vikramjeet Singh, Scott Edwards, Stephan Myburg, Tom Cooper, Tim Pringle, Roloef Van Der Merwe, Fred Klaassen, Shariz Ahmed, Colin Ackermann, Bas De Leede, Logan Van Beek
CP Rizwan(C), Waseem Muhammad, Chirag Suri, A Sharafu, Zawar Farid, Basil Hameed, Vritiya Aravind, Kashif Daud, K Meiyappan, Zahoor Khan, Ahmed Raza
Vikramjeet Singh has been pretty good up the order over the last few months. He is a capable and talented opener and should make an impact at the top with his solid starts at the top.
Chirag Suri got the team off to a really good start in the chase, but failed to continue. He is a pretty good talent from the UAE and once had an IPL contract as well. With one more game in the series, he will be hoping to impress again and hopefully bat longer than he did in the first game.

UAE and Netherlands are not the most consistent sides in international cricket. Experience and recent fixtures though may put Netherlands ahead considering they had more chances to play big sides over the last few months.
