The yearly rankings see India add further two points, subsequently expanding their lead to 267 as they go eight points clear of Men’s T20 Title holders England (259)

India finished in the bottom half of the T20 World Cup in 2021, but they came back and made it to the semi-finals in 2022. The Men in Blue have been stupendous in T20Is since May 2020, having lost recently the one two-sided series (against Sri Lanka in 2021), rising triumphant in 13 other series while one finished in a draw (against South Africa in 2022).

The new rankings take into account all T20I series that have been played since May 2020. Series played before May 2022 are weighted 50%, and subsequent series are weighted 100%.

New Zealand (256) gains two spots from No. 5 to No. 3 as a result of the most recent rankings update. With only three points between them and England, they now control the game.

The top five are completed by Pakistan and South Africa, the two teams that the Black Caps leapfrogged to No. 3.

Hong Kong and USA were the greatest victors, with the two groups bouncing three spots each, the greatest move in the yearly rankings update. Hong Kong rises to No. 20. 21 to No. 18, and the United States rose to No. 22.

Oman and PNG are among the biggest losers, dropping two spots to 20th and 21st, respectively, while Singapore dropped six spots to 36th.

After having played at least six T20I matches over the course of the previous three years, a total of 84 teams are now ranked in the T20I team rankings. Turkey, Brazil, Chile, Iran, Mexico, and Peru are the six nations that, regrettably, are eliminated from the competition because they failed to meet the requirement of playing at least six matches. These five nations have not played a T20I since May 2020.
