Lucknow Super Giants has created the biggest mess before the start of their campaign. The latest chat buster show has been released on LSG's official Twitter page website where a host asks Miller to pick his most heartbreak moment which had games like the T20 World Cup and 2023 IPL Final. It was not yet understandable on what basis this question was asked to him. For every player emotional constrain are the same and asking him this type of question and making him feel guilty fact was the most utter one.

Once the video reached to consderable audience then it was backfired misreably where LSG was lashed badly for hurting the sentiments of miller. Miller have been an intergral part of South Africa team and has been the back of every franchise which he has played for, this year David Miller has been bought by Lucknow Super Gaints at the price of 7.5 crore.

Questions For Miller And The Public Outrage

Miller has played several important innings and some have been successful and some have been wrenched in his efforts. Likewise in the video, he was asked by the anchor Miller to pick out his worst heartbreaks. Which started from the IPL 2014 final which was between Punjab vs Kolkata where Kolkata won their second title by beating Punjab, at that time Miller was part of Kings xi Punjab. The second one was when he was associated with GT in 2023 where Csk beat them at the final ball while last year they were the champions of Ipl 2022.

Then the question was even more pathetic when he was asked to choose among losses suffered in World Cups, such as the T20 World Cup 2024 final. It has gained wide spread criticism to the franchise for defaming their player like this.

Yet The Video On Twitter

As a sports lover though which team you support or wherever the player belongs to, his efforts and dedication must be appreciated and Miller's efforts have been tirelessly awesome with the passion he plays the game. It was his bad luck on that day and luckily Surya Kumar caught Miller in the thrilling contest, what if it had not happened? Miller would have won the trophy for South Africa. It was the best efforts of the Indian team that they removed him as the danger preceded them more.

The worst part is that even after heavy backlash the video hasn't been removed from their Twitter site. And people have been lambasting the franchise. Even some of them said this franchise was going to pay the price for what they did.

<![CDATA[IPL Players Who Struck Fastest IPL Hundred]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ipl-players-who-struck-fastest-ipl-hundred/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ipl-players-who-struck-fastest-ipl-hundred/ Thu, 06 Mar 2025 18:26:17 GMT

In IPL it is hard to survive as a batsman you should possess definite skill and temperament to deal the world-class bowlers. You need to set your standard so high and have to understand that you are always replaceable. IPL provides opportunities to talent those, who grab it shine a lot and even play for the country but it's not standard criteria. As a batsman, you should have quality in batting and the destructive approach of acceleration which is required in this format.

In our segment we gonna see about the top 4 centuries struck by batsman and clutched the opponents many times in the cricket areana. Centuries are not, easy to score, but, when you reach that landmark the feeling of that is always ultimate.

4. Number one on our list is Australia's World Cup hero Travis Head who just smashed 102 runs in 41 balls Srh batting lineup is something you never would like to face as a bowler. Right from Travis Head to Klassen it looks like absolute destruction. This century of Travis Head came against Royal Challengers Banglore at Chinnaswamy stadium. Head struck three boundaries to Vishak in 12 over and completed his century. He scored it in 35 balls and became the fourth batsman to hit the fastest century.

3. Number 3 on our list our very own South African batsman killer Miller who scored a century against RCB in 2013 facing only 38 balls. It was bitter match for Punjab as they lost six matches in a row and to be in the competion they had to win this game where else RCB came at Mohali winning 6 of their games.

It was good nice batting track where RCB posted the Mamoth score of 190 already struggling Kings xi Punjab had no idea how they could chase this. Then came the hero Miller who just flourished RCB bowlers here and there. He completed his century in just 38 balls paving the victory way for Punjab and David Miller Miller became the third batsman who had hitted the third fastest century.

2. Yusuf Pathan

Number 2 on our list is our very own Yusuf Pathan who doesn't know him and his ability of power hitting which he displayed against Mumbai Indians in 2010. It was Mumbai who won the toss and chose to bat first and posted a total of 212. Rajasthan had bad luck in chasing as they lost early wickets.

After that here comes Yusuf Pathan and started hitting ruthlessly he was never in a mood to spare anyone, whoever comes on the way became the victim of Yusuf Pathan. But the sad thing was at other end wickets we're trembling where he didn't get a stablised partner still he scored a100 in 37 balls but unfortunately he was run out and Royals lost the match by 4 runs. Still Yusuf century is the second fastest century of IPL.

1 Chris Gayle

Number one on our list is our Jamaican king Chris Gayle. At that time Chris was at the peak of his career, it was the match between RCB and PWI(Pune Warriors). Banglore was opted to Bat first by Pune and that might be the worst decision they would have made. Gayle started slowly but after the third ball punishment he gave was brutal.

Bowlers like Dinda and others wouldn't have expected this type of treatment the faster they bowled the faster Gayle dispatched. It was just irresistible, Gayle completed his century in just 30 balls which is the fastest century by any batsman and it's been 12 years of it and no one dared to break it. It was 167 runs of opening partnership. Banglore scored an ODI total of 263 runs which was never the target for Pune who perished in 133. But that brutal innings of Chris Gayle is still remembered.

<![CDATA[Frustrated David Miller Slams ICC, Backs New Zealand to Win Champions Trophy Final]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/frustrated-david-miller-slams-icc-backs-new-zealand-to-win-champions-trophy-final/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/frustrated-david-miller-slams-icc-backs-new-zealand-to-win-champions-trophy-final/ Thu, 06 Mar 2025 12:49:39 GMT

South African player David Miller played a fantastic innings in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final but couldn’t take his team to win. Despite scoring a brilliant century, South Africa lost against New Zealand and was knocked out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Miller was frustrated with the ICC for the tight travel schedule. South Africa had to make a quick stop in Dubai before their semi-final in Lahore, which affected their preparation. After scoring an unbeaten 100 in South Africa’s 50-run loss while chasing 363, Miller openly criticized ICC for scheduling the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final.

After New Zealand Confirmed their place in the final, David Miller and Kane Williamson shared a warm moment on the field. Williamson had just finished his media talk, while Miller was about to start. Even though it was another tough loss for South Africa in the semi-finals, Miller showed his sportsmanship by backing New Zealand to win the final against India.

"I’ll be honest with you. I think I’ll be supporting New Zealand. It’s only an hour-and-40-minute flight, but we had to do that after a game. We landed at 4 p.m., then had to fly back at 7:30 the next morning. It wasn’t ideal. It’s not like we had five hours to recover,” Miller told ESPNcricinfo.

Even though he was frustrated, Miller said that New Zealand played better on the day. His century, which he dedicated to his newborn son, was a proud moment, but he would have gladly given it up for a South African win. New Zealand made the most of the good conditions after winning the toss and set a big target of 363 runs in the semi-finals. New Zealand will now face India in the Champions Trophy 2025 final at the Dubai International Stadium on March 9 Sunday.

This year Champions Trophy were hosted by Pakistan as they were the regaining champions of the last edition. But India refused to travel due to diplomatic reasons, though talks were conducted between PCB and BCCI about the venue, it was designated that BCCI agreed that India would play all their matches in Lahore same as happening in Dubai to avoid the frequent travelling avoiding the security aspects it ended in a bad note where the hybrid model was chosen and India took Dubai to play all their matches.

Where all the teams were playing in Pakistan, now the teams scheduled against India had to do frequent travelling from Dubai to Pakistan. Even a few ex-cricketers raised their voices ( Nasser Hussain, Pat Cummins)for this diplomacy to India stating a disadvantage to other teams, even though it reflected chaos on the internet too. But the matches were still played.

The coach and Captain close the call.

Earlier captain Rohit Sharma was asked this question in which he responded what type of advantage do we got, we wont play here often this is also new to us. Aspiring we don't know what type of pitch we are going to play and how can someone say that we have the advantage. Even this pitch is slight difficult which offered in Pakistan.

We are players too we don't get alter day to access the pitch. Even coach Gautam Gambhir too was asked this question by a Pakistani reporter about the advantage, he gave a befitting reply that we didn't get any advantage look at the pitches in Pakistan and in Dubai who is easy. We don't practice here we do our practice at ICC Academy. He stated some people are perpetual scrubbers they need to stop this and asked them to Grow up. It was thought the issue was bending in a curve but suddenly it has risen again.

Miller is heavily disappointed with frequent travelling.

When the semi-final lineup wasn't decided both Australia and South Africa reached Dubai, once India's match was over and schedules were fixed South Africa flew back to Pakistan for their game against New Zealand. After the semi-final loss against New Zealand, David Miller seemed quite unhappy he claimed it was just 1 hour and 40 minutes of flight its ok but it was adjacent to the frequency It was early morning, it was after a game and we had to fly. Then we got to Dubai at 4:00 pm.

And at 7.30 am we had to come back. It doesn't make it nice. It's not like we flew five hours, and we had enough time to recover and recuperate, but it was not an ideal situation still. Chasing 360 on a batting track too was not that easy because it detoriated in middle of the innings, yet credit to them because they spun the ball very well which gave more drift. When asked about who gonna support in final his answer was New Zealand.

The second semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand ended up in a one-side encounter, it would have been more captivating if Miller had accumulated a few more balls which would have more a closer match. Yesterday New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing an early wicket Will Young. Rachin and Kane Williamson took on the game, both scored their well-made centuries supported by Darryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips scored 49 each.

NNew Zealand scored the highest run in history of Champions Trophy 362. South Africa had the target of 363 runs which was quite tuff to chase in a knockout stage like this, but South African captain Temba Bavuma and Rassie Van Der Dussen gave a steady start where the target looked quite Chasable.

The Line of Collapse Changed Everything.

South Africa has a history that they play their ICC tournament league phase with a different approach but when it comes to knockout stages they just get hammered down. Yet despite the good partnership between Temba Bavuma and Rassie, they couldn't capitalise on it. Once Temba was gone with a well-made century along with him came Rassie who left the crease with two new batsmen at a time. Though Aiden Makram started to go on they lost Klassen. And with the overs running the pressure mounted up.

Makram too couldn't do much and departed for 31 after that it was a pile of cards failing only Miller was fighting alone for the team. If anyone had supported it would have been a change in the scenario. He was the lone warrior in the t20 World Cup final against India and the lone warrior against New Zealand. After where did the collapse urge when you have the desired required run rate in your hand?

Miller Magic Couldn't Get Over The Line Once Again

IIts feels still dishearting for South Africa they try their level best but couldn't able to capatilise the crunch moments which have to grab. First they leaked too many runs in their bowling quota no spinners used their variation well like New Zealand spinners did where they were pushing the ball to hit the deck hard to get the purchase.

Next is that chase should be well calculated you should be ticking around the required run rate to keep under control. Once Temba and Rassie were playing they reached the team score of 100 near by close to 17 overs, after that they tend to play slow. On reaching of 25 over they were around close to 140-150 which showed they slowed a bit. And when they tried to acclerate wickets fell down and for every wicket run rate sky rockted.

Though David Miller continued when it looked like now or never he just started hitting. And he was just flawless he was bashing every bowler coming his way he scored the century facing just 67 balls it depicts that if he had enough balls either he would have finished the match or would have come even close as he did in the 2024 T20 world cup final if Surya Kumar wouldn't got the catch of Miller which almost crossed the boundary, India wouldn't have crowned as T20 champions as same if Miller would have accelerated earlier or would have left with 10-15 balls to spare he would have ended the game.

New Zealand claimed a big win against South Africa in the second Semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to reach their third Champions Trophy Final.

Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore hosted the second Semi-final match on Wednesday (March 5), where New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner chose to bat first after winning the toss. While New Zealand scored 362/6 in 50 overs, the record total in the tournament history, South Africa replied with 312/9 in 50 overs.

Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson scored 100s; Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips produced valuable 49s

While the Kiwi opener Will Young scored 21 runs, and he had a 48-run opening partnership with Rachin Ravindra, Ravindra and Kane Williamson set the big total tone with a 164-run partnership for the second wicket. While Ravindra recorded his fifth ODI century in 93 balls, Williamson recorded his 15th ODI century in 91 balls. Ravindra fell after scoring 108 off 101 balls with 13 fours and one six, while Williamson scored 102 off 94 balls with 10 fours and two sixes.

In the late moment, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips fired the Proteas bowlers to add significant quick runs. Mitchell and Phillips had a 57-run partnership for the fifth wicket in just five overs. While Mitchell scored 49 off 37 balls (four fours and one six), Phillips ended the innings with 49 not out in 27 balls (six fours and one six).

Among the South African bowlers, Lungi Ngidi (3/72) took three wickets and Kagiso Rabada (2/70) picked up two wickets. However, in the last powerplay, the Proteas bowlers conceded 110 runs.

David Miller's tournament's fastest century record was too late for South Africa

In reply, after the opener Ryan Rickelton (17) lost his wicket early, his opening partner and the captain Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen set a solid partnership of 105-run for the second wicket. However, their partnership took enough balls as the next dangerous batters couldn't handle the required run rate pressures. Also, Blackcaps spinners simply bowled well to take regular wickets which put the Proteas away from the game.

While Bavuma was dismissed for 56 off 71 balls (four fours and one six), Van de Dussen scored 69 off 66 balls (four fours and two sixes). The next two key batters, Aiden Markram (31) and Heinrich Klaasen (3) failed in the chasing, while David Miller's single-handed battle till the end wasn't enough for the Proteas.

At the end of the 40 overs, South Africa were struggling at 223/8. While there was no hope for the inaugural ICC Champions Trophy champions, Miller still tried his best to take the game as close as possible. After scoring his first 50 runs in 46 balls, the 35-year-old left-handed middle-order batter completed his century in 67 balls, which set a new record for the fastest century in the tournament history. Miller remained not out for 100 off 67 balls (10 fours and four sixes).

New Zealand cricketer Rachin Ravindra won the Player of the Match award for taking one wicket (1/20) and two more catches along with the most valuable century. Captain Mitchell Santner (3/43), Matt Henry (2/43), Glenn Phillips (2/27) and Michael Bracewell (1/53) managed to take important wickets in the match.

The second Semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, New Zealand vs South Africa, experienced a comfortable win for the Blackcaps, while Proteas batter David Miller's late fun ended with a new record for the fastest century in the history of ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 (2nd Semi-final): New Zealand set a record total of 362/6

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner chose to bat first at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where we have already experienced high-scoring matches in the tournament. With the help of twin centuries by Rachin Ravindra (108) and Kane Williamson (102), and late blasts from Daryl Mitchell (49) and Glenn Phillips (49*), New Zealand set a tournament record total of 362/6 in 50 overs.

It was a very challenging target where the dangerous Proteas batting line-up made the game on with the 105-run second wicket partnership between captain Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen. But once that partnership was broken, South Africa were losing at regular intervals, where Bavuma scored 56, Van der Dussen scored 66, Aiden Markram scored 31, and Heinrich Klaasen scored only three runs. At the end, David Miller was the lone fighter, while he had no support from the other end.

David Miller fought alone in the end and recorded the fastest ICC Champions Trophy century

Although the match was already gone before the beginning of the last powerplay, where South Africa were battling at 223/8 in 40 overs, Miller showed the best fightback despite no hope. The left-handed middle-order batter scored first 50 runs in 46 balls and next 50 runs in just 21 balls. With a double on the final ball of the match, Miller recorded his seventh ODI century which he completed in 67 balls with the help of 10 fours and four sixes.

Miller broke the joint record of Virender Sehwag and Josh Inglis

Although the match was already gone as South Africa scored 312/9, and New Zealand won the Semi-final by 50 runs, Miller ended the tournament journey with the fastest century in ICC Champions Trophy history. The previous record was the 77-ball century by Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag (vs England at Colombo in 2002) and Australian cricketer Josh Inglis (vs England at Lahore in 2025).

Top 5 Fastest Centuries in T20 International Cricket
T20 cricket is the most exciting format of the game. In this game, explosive batting has a key role. With the passage of time, numerous cricketers have amazed audiences by scoring rapid centuries, and the records fell into pieces.
Now, here's a glance at the five fastest centuries that T20 International has ever seen:

1. Sahil Chauhan – 27 Balls (2024)

Sahil Chauhan holds the record for scoring the fastest century in T20I history in just 27 balls. This incredible feat came against Cyprus on June 17, 2024.
This innings was so full of power sixes and fours that Sahil Chauhan became the fastest-ever centurion in T20 internationals.

2. Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton – 33 Balls (2024)

Namibian cricketer Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton broke the record with the fastest ever century in the T20I format, after Sahil Chauhan left it behind breaking it.
And he made that hundred in the match of the year 2024 in merely 33 deliveries. His fearless batting display marked how T20 cricket is flourishing and how athletes are always experimenting with boundaries.

3. Sikandar Raza – 33 Balls (2023)

Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder Sikandar Raza also holds the record for scoring a 33-ball century in T20Is.
His knock was filled with exceptional hitting, helping Zimbabwe post a massive total. His ability to attack from the very first ball makes him one of the most dangerous batsmen in the shortest format.

4. Kushal Malla – 34 Balls (2023)

Nepali cricketer Kushal Malla caught headlines as he scored a T20I century within just 34 deliveries in 2023. His match-winning innings portrayed that Nepal is gaining force against international cricket. As he managed to find gaps and hit big shots, it happened to be one of the fastest centuries in cricket history.

5. David Miller & Rohit Sharma – 35 Balls (Tie Record)

South Africa's David Miller and India's Rohit Sharma share the record for scoring the fastest century in T20I cricket - 35 balls. Miller blazed his explosive century against Bangladesh in 2017, just like Rohit Sharma did on the same calendar year against Sri Lanka. This was filled with breathtaking strokes for both innings.

Abhishek Sharma – 37 Balls (2025)

One of the latest record-breaking performances is Abhishek Sharma of India who, on February 2, 2025, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, hit a 37-ball century against England. Abhishek struck 13 sixes and enabled India to put a monstrous total on the board. His onslaught helped India win the match by a margin of 150 runs, thereby confirming him as a future T20 superstar. He also became the second-quickest Indian to score a T20I hundred after Rohit Sharma's 35-ball century.
