Lucknow Super Giants are playing their third game against Punjab Kings where Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to field first. LSG didn't have a good defensive start as Makram and Mitchell Marsh departed earlier. Pooran held the innings but he too had departed and when these batsmen were LSG were dragged down under the knees and the rest of the batsmen were disappointed. In these three games one thing was common for LSG if they lose Pooran and Marsh early it means you can restrict them to below par score. 

It was the same fashion until Mitchell Marsh and Pooran were playing their first match in IPL the hope of 200 plus was on but when they departed the whole team just lost its way. Rishabh Pant had faced a serious car accident around his native, though he recovered fast as it was a major accident and he had injuries in his leg which would have been a career-ending for him, but he fought hard and came back to the Indian squad and played the T20 world cup for India and gave India the glory of winning the World Cup after 17 years. Even experts like Piyush Chawla, Ambati Rayudu and Mathew Hayden criticised the left-hander that what is Rishabh Pant trying to do he wants to hit big shots from ball one which is not at all possible and the type of batting he does it is difficult to crunch back. Lucknow at this stage lost their second match where they won the last and lost the first one, Now Pant is in heavy criticism with his batting style of approach you have to take time on the crease. If you won't respect the conditions you have to pay the price.

Marsh was out of Australia's ODI tour of Sri Lanka and the 2025 Champions Trophy owing to his injury. But after visiting a specialist in February, he has been batting in the last few weeks.
