Through its subsidiary RISE Worldwide, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has purchased a 49% share of the franchise Oval Invincibles of The Hundred, strengthening their global footprint in cricket. The deal is subject to customary approvals and is significant to MI’s expansion, adding to their already existing franchise network across various leagues.

An alliance has been made with Surrey County Cricket Club (CCC):

The Surrey County Cricket Club will retain the 51% share of the Oval Invincibles, which helps to maintain a strong local presence in the ownership structure. Commenting on this, the Chair of Surrey CCC, Oli Slipper, has shared that “We wanted the best partner to keep Surrey at the forefront of English cricket, and in Mumbai Indians, we have found exactly that. Their success in the IPL and global cricket, combined with RIL’s business expertise, will help both Surrey and our Hundred team thrive on and off the field.”
