OVI vs SOB: SOB are off to a shaky start despite James Vince doing a fair job at the top, while there has also been some good bowling performances. Their line-up looks good, but is still settling, and once it does with the likes of Quinton De Kock and Vince, they will look like a powerful unit. Oval Invincibles are still waiting on Jason Roy’s form, but will be pleased with their depth. They have a lot of all-rounders, Will Jacks is doing well, and Sunil Narine is striking a nice chord this season. With a lot of batting depth and bowling options, Invincibles have enough strength to wait for Jason Roy to find his own rhythm.

Match: OVI vs SOB
Date: 14th August 2022
Time: 10:30 PM IST
Venue: Kennington Oval, London
The evening is nice warm and clear for the OVI vs SOB fixture.
The track is flat and will allow the ball to come onto the bat nicely. A lot of runs are expected and batting second is the better option.
Quinton De Kock, James Vince, Joe Weatherley, Alex Davies(wk), Tim David, Marcus Stoinis, Craig Overton, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Michael Hogan, Jake Lintott
Jason Roy, Will Jacks, Sam Billings(wk), Hilton Cartwright, Jack Leaning, Sunil Narine, Will Jacks, Jack Haynes, Reece Topley, Mohammad Hasnain, Matt Milnes
Quinton De Kock‘s return will bring a lot of stability in the line-up. While he has already played one game this season, De Kock tends to get better as a tournament progresses and we could see the best of him in the coming games. His aggression and ability to change games is well known, and his team will be hoping for him to influence their tournament in a positive way.
When it comes to bowling in T20 Cricket, Sunil Narine is still one of the best going around. He is constantly adapting and despite changing his action he is still a danger. His variations are creating a storm this season as Sunil Narine has eight wickets in three games. He is choking batters and outfoxing them with his variations with ease. His batting hasn’t had much of an impact yet, but it could as the tournament progresses leaving him as a candidate for the best player of the season, if his batting comes off well.

SOB has a pretty good batting line-up and some solid finishers in Tim David and Marcus Stoinis. While their bowling does seem a little light, especially with Tymal Mills out, the danger in their batting line-up is definitely daunting. OVI has a good line-up as well with some nice names in both departments. They have a lot of all-rounders, but SOB’s seasoned cricketers and batting strength puts them ahead in this contest unless we have a Roy or Narine special.
