MNR vs WEF: The challenges are increasing for captain Jos Buttler. As a batter he is consistently getting starts, but the bowling and other batters are not contributing collectively to create wins. MNR are still winless and will slowly start feeling the desperation to win. WF are winless to after three games. They are struggling with bat and have come on the wrong side of some nailbiters. With their batting failing, WEF has a lot more to work on than MRN might have.

Match: MNR vs WEF
Date: 16th August 2022
Time: 11:00 PM IST
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
The weather seems ok during the MNR vs WEF game with mild chances of rain.
The Old Trafford track is pretty helpful for batters early on but gets tough to bat on as the ball gets older. Batting first is a better option on Old Trafford’s wearing surface.
Tom Banton, Joe Clarke, Jonny Bairstow(wk), Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Josh Cobb, Jacob Bethell, Ryan Higgins, Naseem Shah, Noor Ahmed, Adam Zampa
Jos Buttler (c,wk), Phil Salt, Laurie Evans, Wayne Madsen, Ashton Turner, Andre Russell, Jamie Overton, Ollie Robinson, Calvin Harrison, Matt Parkinson, Daniel Worrall
Matt Parkinson has waited a long time for an international appearance. He got his chance, and is also a regular as a leggie in The Hundred. With the bowling struggling, MNR needs someone to step up and they will hope Parkinson is the one to do so. He is a traditional leg-spinner and can easily be a danger with his ability to pick up wickets.
Welsh Fire are struggling to win games. They have a lot of youngsters and will hope for them to step up. In the previous game, Tom Banton did start well, but WEF will want a larger contribution from him as they know Banton is capable of getting big scores.

Both teams are winless. WEF though are full of youngsters and may feel the lack of experience in the side affecting them. MNR has some experience and good players, which will could give them the confidence to get their first win of the season.
