An exciting test match comes to an end as Team India celebrates the Victory by defeating England by 157 runs on Day 5 of the fourth test at The Oval on Monday leading the series by 2 -1. India bowled out England for 210 runs. What an incredible performance by Team India, especially after an innings defeat in the last Test. Kudos to all the team members for their extreme effort to win on a flat pitch at the Oval after 50 years. The last time team India had a victory at The Oval was in the year 1971.
Team India bowlers put their best efforts and showcased their incredible bowling skills thus becoming a strong threat to the England batters, especially pacers Bumrah, Yadav and Siraj on the final day at The Oval. A superb win for India! They collapsed dramatically in the first innings but made a strong comeback in the second innings.
England made a solid start with both Burns and Hameed opening extremely well. They played some lovely shots. On Day 4 at the Oval, England were 77 for 0 chasing 368, needing a further 291 runs for victory. The score was 142 for 2 and It was very interesting to witness how dramatically England lost 4 wickets in just 6 runs. Things turned out drastically and the odds were more in favor of Team India.

Rohit Sharma is awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant century in the second innings. “I wanted to be on the field as much as I could. That hundred was special as it is my first overseas hundred. We know how important the second innings is. Really happy to get my team in an important position” – exclaimed, Rohit Sharma. “This is one of the top three bowling performances I have been part of as a Captain’ – expressed, Virat Kohli.
