In Awas Village, Virat Kohli purchased a 2,000 square foot villa for Rs 6 crore. On this property, he has paid stamp duty of Rs 36 lakh. It has been reported that this villa also has a 400-square-foot swimming pool. However, Virat and Anushka’s first property in Alibaug is not this. In September of last year, the couple also purchased a farmhouse in Alibaug for Rs 19.24 crore. According to reports, he paid Rs 1.15 crore in stamp duty.

“Awas is a preferred location due to its natural beauty. Besides, the Mandwa jetty is five minutes away from Awas and the speed boats have now reduced the distance to Mumbai to 15 minutes.”

The report says that the average price of land in Alibaug is between Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,500 per square foot, and the elite class also like to spend the weekend there
