India are up 2-1 in this five match series as the caravan moves to Florida. The 3rd T20 was full of promise with West Indies having a lot to be happy about. Kyle Mayers is in pretty good form, getting a solid score while the likes of Hetmyer and Powell did some damage in the death.
The bowling is also getting better. West Indies are doing well to push India as far as possible with the game going till the final over. The pacers look good, are extracting bounce well, and Akela Hossein is looking better and better with each passing game
India though are looking even better. Arshdeep Singh’s control in the death is extraordinary, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar is looking better with each game. Ravichandran Ashwin’s first over was poor, and six overs into the game West Indies looked to be in a very commanding position. Some tight bowling from Pandya and Ashwin though helped settle things down before the death bowlers restricted West Indies to the 160s
Rohit Sharma started well, looking decent again Left-arm pace, but a back spasm ended his innings. He is likely to be available for the next game. With Rohit down though, Suryakumar took the opportunity to stand up. He built a partnership with Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer continued to struggle with pace. Yadav though bought out his trademark shots and made a commanding 76. He has all but sealed his place in the line-up and will be a huge asset in the middle-order for India
With Suryakumar Yadav batting well, the target was reached with ease. India didn’t have too many hurdles. Pant and Hooda closed the chaase out with ease. The win takes India to a series lead with two games to go. With the games in Florida, West Indies are in with a strong chance on the smaller boundaries.
