West Indies vs New Zealand: New Zealand commanded the first game despite a fight back from West Indies in the end. A full-strength New Zealand side looks very promising especially with Kane Williamson batting well at the top. West Indies to are batting pretty well though. They bat deep and with Odean Smith and Shepard providing fireworks down the order the line-up looks pretty daunting. Their bowling is still work in progress. The likes of McCoy and Joseph are capable of running through sides but need consistency, which will solve West Indies’s bowling issues.

Kane Williamson endured a terrible IPL putting doubts over his presence in T20 Cricket. In the first T20, Williamson quickly proved that he can be as quick as needed. Starting slow, Williamson shifted gears swiftly to finish with a strong score, playing the anchor role perfectly.
Odean Smith announces his arrival. With the ability to bowl 140+ and strike big, he has a skillset that is priceless. In the first T20 his skillset was put to use. Three wickets and some big hits in the end kept West Indies in the game when they struggled. He is proving to be their trump card and will be a key wicket as his career goes on.
New Zealand one the first game, but with West Indies finally performing to their potential it is only a matter of time before they come out hard. With a long range of attacking batters, they can out bat oppositions with ease and are well placed to do so in the upcoming game.
