Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, scored his first fifty runs while playing for Goa against Rajasthan in a Ranji Trophy match. He batted at number seven on Day 1 of the match at the Goa Cricket Association Academy and went unbeaten at four off 15 balls.
But on the second day, he increased the rate and eventually got his first score of this kind. He has scored 67 runs off 121 balls and has 10 fours and a six as of the time this report was written.
Goa scored 300 runs after Arjun’s smash. He was placed in the batting order after Goa lost the crucial wicket of SD Lad in the 79th over, leaving the score at 196 for the loss of four wickets.
Arjun was supported well by Suyash Prabhudessai, who eventually scored a hundred. Snehal Kauthankar also made half a century of contributions to Goa.
However, he was quickly selected by Mumbai for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and acquired by the Mumbai Indians at the 2019 auctions. Despite this, he hasn’t played for the Mumbai Indians yet.
Arjun Tendulkar registered his best T20 figures in the game:
