Asia Cup 2022 dates have been unveiled. The venue has additionally been moved from Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) concocting the declaration of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) facilitating the competition in the United Arab Emirates.
The Asia Cup 2022 timetable is formally delivered and the date of beginning and the last date of the competition have been declared. Asia Cup 2022 will start on August 27 this year and the final of the competition will be played on September 11.
The tournament will happen in the T20 design as it will act as a huge warm-up and open the door for the 6 partaking Asia teams in the groundwork for the ICC T20 World Cup which is good to happen not long from now in Australia.
A total of 6 teams will be taking part in this year’s Asia Cup which incorporate India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are the 5 affirmed groups up to this point. UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong will play a Qualifier for the sixth spot in Asia Cup 2022.

Asia Cup 2022 Venue
Asia Cup 2022 will be facilitated by Sri Lanka Cricket. Prior, the competition was planned to be played in Sri Lanka. Nonetheless, because of ongoing political and economic turmoil in the country, the Asian Cricket Council chose to change the setting of the premier tournament.
Afterward, it was decided that UAE will be the new scene of the competition. Thus, Sri Lanka Cricket will have the competition in the new setting UAE. Since UAE is the scene of the competition, three grounds will have all the matches. They are Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Asia Cup 2022 Teams
A total of 6 teams will take part in the upcoming version of the continental competition. Five Test-playing countries from the continent – India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan have procured direct capability to the competition while the excess one group will book its place through a qualifying round.
UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore will battle it out in the qualifiers for a spot in the headliner. The qualifiers are set to start on August 20. Each of the four teams have come to the last passing round after progressing through the regional qualifiers.

Asia Cup 2022 Groups
The teams are yet to be divided into groups for Asia Cup 2022. In the last version as well, there were six teams and they were divided into two groups of three teams each. Group A comprised India, Pakistan and Hong Kong while Group B had Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
All things considered, each team played the other in the same group once. The best two groups from each group then, at that point, were able to fit the bill for the second stage, called the Super Four. The four groups in that stage played each other once before the first two groups equipped for the last. With six groups partaking in the upcoming edition too, one can anticipate a similar format.
