20 – Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

Lucknow Super Giants’ inaugural IPL campaign has been a blend of highs and lows. Despite occasional sparks of brilliance, they grappled with inconsistency. The team’s performance has been erratic, particularly in finding a stable opening partnership, evident in their power play struggles. Additionally, early wickets have hindered their ability to post imposing totals in the tournament.

20 – Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Inconsistency in team performance has marred Punjab Kings’ journey in IPL 2024, casting doubt on their playoff prospects. This narrative defines the Punjab Kings’ season. While they showcased an extraordinary chase of 262 runs, they heavily relied on Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma. The absence of Shikhar Dhawan severely impacted PBKS, especially with their top order faltering consistently. In the tournament so far, PBKS have lost 20 wickets

20 – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

RCB endured a challenging start to the tournament, but in their last five matches, they’ve hit their stride, securing five consecutive victories. Although their batting lineup has demonstrated moments of excellence, consistency has been elusive. RCB’s pursuit of a playoff berth hangs in the balance as the season unfolds. Positioned at fifth on the points table, they have an opportunity to stage a remarkable comeback and secure a spot in the playoffs. However, their vulnerability is evident with 20 wickets lost in the powerplay.

25 – Mumbai Indians (MI)

In IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians faced a rollercoaster season, struggling to find consistency in their performances. Despite boasting a talented lineup, they failed to capitalize on opportunities and suffered from inconsistent batting and bowling displays. As a result, they found themselves lower in the points table than expected by the end of the tournament.

Currently positioned ninth, MI has secured merely four victories out of 13 matches played. They were the first team to face elimination in the tournament. The batting order of MI has struggled significantly, losing 25 wickets. A primary cause of their decline has been the performance of their opening duo, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

28 – Delhi Capitals (DC)

In IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals failed to demonstrate a strong performance throughout the tournament despite occasional displays of exceptional skills and strategy under the leadership of captain Rishabh Pant. While they exhibited consistency in some games, they currently hold the sixth position on the points table.

It’s evident that their batting lineup struggled to post significant totals, particularly in the powerplay overs, as they encountered difficulties in this aspect throughout the season. Additionally, DC faced challenges in the powerplay, losing the most number of wickets in this phase in IPL 2024.
