Every year, preceding India’s most cherished and highly successful domestic sports league, the Indian Premier League (IPL), a player auction sets the stage. This auction stands as one of the grandest events before the commencement of the league, functioning as a pivotal reshuffling mechanism for participating teams. Players are listed for auction, and the bidding process commences, requiring teams desiring a player to bid the highest to secure them for their squad.

The auction acts as a rejuvenating process for teams, offering them the opportunity to acquire new players and fortify their squads. The IPL 2024 auction is slated to take place on December 19, 2023, in the opulent setting of Dubai.
