He's the best quick bowler ever: Stuart Broad on Jasprit Bumrah
In the recent podcast at For The Love Of Cricket YouTube channel, Stuart Broad claimed that Jasprit Bumrah is the best quick bowler he has ever seen.
Broad said, "Strong argument that he's the best quick bowler ever. He's certainly the best I've ever seen live that is for sure."
Steven Finn on Jasprit Bumrah
Praising the Indian fast bowler, Steven Finn brought back the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Final memory, where Bumrah's bowling played a crucial role for India's stunning win that game against South Africa, almost from a hopeless situation.
Finn said, "His ability to impact games at the most important moments as well. Think back to the T20 Final in 2024 in Barbados. South Africa are cruising that game, making it look easy. Bumrah bowls I think was 17th or 18th over and completely changes their complexion blows Janssen's stumps out of the ground, takes another wicket, goes for like 3 runs. Then India end up winning that Final because other bowlers were good enough to close it out. But significant game-changing moments more often than not done by Bumrah."
Recently, the India vs England match in the second Semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 experienced a high-scoring thriller with a total of 499 runs. However, Jasprit Bumrah became the key difference between both teams, as his tight bowling played the crucial role for Men in Blue's seven-run win. Even the Player of the Match Sanju Samson credited the Indian fast bowler during the presentation ceremony.
Finn added, "And I think even Samson in his post-match interview when he got Player of the Match said this should really be Jasprit Bumrah's award because he is miles ahead of anyone else."
