Reports indicate that the India vs. Canada practice game has been called off due to excessive rainfall.Furthermore, the forecast predicts mostly cloudy and humid conditions persisting throughout the day, with showers and thunderstorms expected.

Florida weather alert: Last three group a matches likely impacted

The T20 World Cup 2024 in Florida faces potential weather disruptions in the upcoming days. Three Group A matches are slated over the next three days, but a tropical disturbance has triggered a rare flash flood emergency across much of southern Florida, including Broward County where the venue, Lauderhill, is situated.

The initial World Cup match at this venue, Nepal vs. Sri Lanka, was washed out. Now, the upcoming fixtures—USA vs. Ireland, Canada vs. India, and Ireland vs. Pakistan—might also face disruptions, as heavy rainfall is forecasted throughout.

The US National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a “flood watch” for all of southern Florida through Friday evening. Matches are scheduled to commence at 10:30 am local time.
