One of the most renowned cricket leagues in the world is the Indian Premier League. Unsurprisingly, the IPL has created some of the most memorable moments in cricket history, especially with the bat, with players from many nations exhibiting their talents. The three longest sixes ever struck in the league are among these occasions. The top five longest sixes in IPL history are listed in detail in this article.

Albie Morkel- 125 Metres

IPL 2023: Top 5 longest sixes in the IPL history
Albie Morkel was a fearsome finisher for CSK

Even though Albie Morkel’s bowling occasionally veers between unexpected and economical, his batting aggression has stayed constant in all three formats. While his returns are not always easy to read, he contributed by having the ball when the team most needed him. Albie smacked off-spinner Pragyan Ojha for a big six during a game against the Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad, forcing the umpires to take a new ball because the previous one had left the field. The inaugural season of the Indian Premier League saw the release of this great hit, which was followed by countless more. He hit the longest six of all time, spanning 125 metres while facing DC spinning bowler Pragyan Ojha in the IPL in 2008.

Praveen Kumar- 124 Metres

Praveen Kumar, with his batting ability has done a fair bit

Praveen Kumar, a right-handed medium-pace bowler, has previously played cricket for India. He is India’s “go-to” bowler because of his capacity to make the ball swing even on the road.

His deceptive velocity and ability to stroke the new ball made the batters uneasy. But he made the list because of his unique batting ability when appearing. By hitting a six against Mumbai Indians (MI) Lasith Malinga that measured 124 metres in length, he had propelled himself up the rankings to second place.

Adam Gilchrist- 122 Metres

Robin Uthappa, the Walking Assassin

As Robin Uthappa is known, the Walking Assassin is a bowler who rushes down on the other player.

Uthappa contributed substantially to KKR’s title-winning campaigns in 2012 and 2014, amassing 405 and 660 runs, respectively. A consistent top-of-the-order technique with a 130.50 career strike rate.
