THU vs SCO, Thunder come into this game in fourth place. Four points behind the Scorchers who are top of the table with seven wins from nine fixtures. Sydney Thunder had been on an excellent run before their loss in their last game. They will be determined to get straight back to winning ways but are up against the best team in the tournament so far. Perth Scorchers will need to be at their best in this game. If they are to avoid recording two group-stage defeats to Sydney Thunder in this year’s BBL. However, the Scorchers are in fine form.

There is something in this pitch for batters and bowlers which means that any score over 155 will be very competitive. Expect the pace bowlers to get horizontal movement off the surface. There will be cloudy conditions throughout this game although there will be lighter clouds during the early part of the match.

Wicketkeeper – Josh Inglis
Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis and Cameron Bancroft are our picks with the bat for Perth Scorchers. Bancroft has hit scores of 76 not out and 46 from his four innings in the tournament. When Sydney Thunder beat Perth Scorchers earlier this month, they were level on points at the top of the table. However, other teams have caught up and gone past Thunder over the last 10 days and they need to win to prevent their campaign going backwards. We expect the arrival of David Warner to give Thunder’s batting a boost but they are up against the best team in the tournament. Considering the team combination, Perth Scorchers is expected to win this match.
