Former Captain Eoin Morgan to join LLC season 2!

World Cup winning former captain Eoin Morgan, who recently resigned from international cricket, will be back on the field when he contends in the second season of the Legends League Cricket.

Morgan will consequently join former India opener Virender Sehwag, Pathan siblings — Irfan and Yusuf, Australia’s Brett Lee, Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan in the league, which will return in September with four teams and 110 International players ready.

“It feels great and I am super excited to be part of Legends. I am looking forward to playing in season 2,”

Morgan, who had captained England to the 2019 World Cup win, said in a release. 

Morgan is the only second player throughout the entire existence of cricket to score one-day international hundreds for two distinct countries. The Irish-born cricketer – who has played for Ireland and England – was the ODI and T20 captain and a middle-order batsman. The left-handed hitter has played a few vital shots in his heavenly international career.

Talking about Morgan joining the league, Raman Raheja, co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket said, 

“We invite Eoin to the group and anticipate encountering his overall presentation in the field in season two. His support will most likely make season 2 more invigorating as well as engaging.”

Prior to last week, legendary Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, former England cricketer Monty Panesar and a few others affirmed their support in the competition. The first season of the tournament had former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England separated into three teams addressing India, Asia and Rest of the World.
