India vs South Africa: The ongoing series has been a brilliant advertisement for T20 Cricket. A drawn series, with all to play for ahead of the final T20I. At one stage, it looked like South Africa would easily sweep the Indians, but now India is the one who looks like they will close out the series easily.

Four games in, this series has seen South Africa make both their highest and lowest scores. Van Der Dussen and Klaasen proved their mettle in T20Is and South Africa has broken through with some balance on its side. From India’s point of view, the series has been full of comebacks. Trailing 2-0, they won the next two games. Dinesh Karthik, a player who was a part of India’s first-ever T20I, and won the man of the match award back then, is still around winning man of the match awards. He bagged the award in the fourth T20 to complete what is turning out to be an inspiring comeback.

Match Details

Match: India vs South Africa

Date: 19th June 2022

Time: 7:00 PM IST

Venue: M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

Weather Report

Bangalore is normally known for its unpredictable rain forecast. At this time of the year, rain is even more frequent and unpredictable, and the chances of rain playing spoilsport is high.

Pitch Report

Small boundaries and a flat pitch indicate the chance of a lot of runs. Bangalore is generally not favorable to spinners and sees more sixes than fours. With a lot of help for batters, batting second will give the side a huge advantage.

Team News

India has stuck with the same eleven through the series and is likely to do the same. For South Africa, Temba Bavuma retired hurt and his status is still uncertain. In case he is unfit, Keshav Maharaj may have to lead the side.

Key Players

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik is enjoying a golden period. He is batting with a lot of freedom and will be waiting to entertain his new adopted home ground. Through the IPL, he was the best batter in the death, and even in this series, Dinesh Karthik is finding runs with ease and manipulating bowlers to suit his style. He is in the form of his life and is a very dangerous prospect given the freeness with which he is batting.

Quinton De Kock

Quinton De Kock hasn’t scored much for South Africa in a while. There was a stage where the team was heavily reliant on him, but with South Africa’s approach changing, Quinton De Kock’s presence is a little dimmer. Now though, with the batting line-up collapsing, his role becomes important again and South Africa will be desperate for a solid start from him.

India vs South Africa Match Prediction

India has the momentum going into the decider, but South Africa still isn’t a pushover. However, given the form and the nature of South Africa’s batting collapses, India may have a little more hope in exploiting the slight shortcomings shown in the South African line-up.

Match Prediction: India will win the match
