GT vs SRH: When Gujarat last faced SRH, SRH was on two points and struggling to get into the tournament. They didn’t look like contenders early on but are now facing GT with five wins behind their back. They are on a hot streak and have gone from strugglers to title contenders in quick time, thanks largely to their bowling line-up.
SRH is up against another team with good bowling now. With Malik, Natarajan, Bhuvi, and Jansen on one side, Shami, Ferguson, Joseph, and Rashid Khan on the other side, the fixture is a battle between two strong bowling units. The batting has also been good with contributors on both teams, and the upcoming game promises to be an interesting encounter.
Match: GT vs SRH
Date: 27th April 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
The weather is clear through the GT vs SRH game with no rain in the forecast.
The surface is dry, taking spin and early swing, and maybe better for batting first. The last few games have been one by the teams batting first and despite the possibility of dew and ground dimensions, batting first may be a better option on Wankhede’s wearing surface.

SRH Playing XI
Kane Williamson (capt), Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, J Suchith/Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan
- Washington Sundar’s fitness is still in question as the Sunrisers are not willing to rush him back into the squad.
- GT is likely to remain with the same eleven.
Umran Malik is grabbing all the attention with his sheer pace. He hasn’t taken as many wickets as a Jansen or Natarajan, but remains a scary bowler, and is easily touching 150+. Umran Malik is not looking at slower deliveries at all and is looking very aggressive leaving him likely to pick up some key wickets.
Mohammad Shami started GT’s defense against KKR nicely, dismissing the openers early. He, along with the other bowlers has adopted the short ball tactic well and is showing that such tactics work effectively in T20 Cricket. He is proving to be a reliable bowler as Shami has been among the wickets each game and is doing well as a silent performer.
GT vs SRH Match Tips
SRH is in hot form with five wins in five games. If any side can stop their run though, it is the Gujarat Titans. They have a bowling line-up that can match and probably go better than Hyderabad’s. They rely on pace and have an aggressive spinner as well, and their bowling could carry Gujarat over the Sunrisers Hyderabad while their batters are also in better form than the ones in Hyderabad.
Match Prediction: GT will win the match.
