KKR defeats RCB by 9 wickets

No show for RCB this time as KKR blunted out RCB for 92 runs. Setting a target run of 93, KKR sealed a dominating victory by 9 wickets against RCB at Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Knight Riders bowlers thumped Royal Challengers from the very beginning itself by ending the first winnings in just 92 runs. Players like Virat Kohli ( 5 off 4) and AB de Villiers ( 0 off 1), seemed to be out of form. Padikkal with whom fans had much expectations only managed to score 22 runs off 20. The quick falling of wickets largely disappointed RCB fans and supporters. Talking about KKR, the batting performances of opening duo Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer were very elegant to watch who showed their intent by playing some power hitting shots that made it to the chase, completing the game with 9 wickets and 10 overs remaining. With Shubman walking to the restroom at 48 off 34, the job has been already done. It was Debutant Venkatesh ( 41* off 27), who stole the limelight with his amazing three fours and finishing off the game in favor of KKR.

This is KKR’s third win of the season and they are now at the 5th position in the IPL 2021 points table. While RCB have suffered their third defeat and remain in the 3rd position. KKR’s next will be against defending champions MI which is scheduled on 23rd September and RCB will face CSK next on 24th September, who is currently leading the table points in this season!
