Zimbabwe are off to a strong start with Sikandar Raza carrying the team yet again. They now have a chance to effectively end the tournament for two time World Champions, West Indies. West Indies are coming in with some fresh names in their line-ups but struggled with their batting in the first game. The line-up though remains strong and it will be interesting to see if their stars can find some form in the upcoming game.
Played- 3 | West Indies – 2 | Zimbabwe – 1 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Date: 19th October 2022
Time: 1:30 PM IST
Venue: Hobart
The weather at Hobart is clear and a full game is expected, although there could be a cold breeze and some chilly temperatures.
The Hobart track is normally good for batters. The boundaries are also pretty small and run-scoring should be pretty easy. Batting second will be a better option.
Kyle Mayers, Johnson Charles, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran (c & wk), Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, Odean Smith, Akeal Hosein, Yannic Cariah, Alzarri Joseph, and Obed McCoy/Sheldon Cottrell
Regis Chakabva (wk), Craig Ervine (c), Wesley Madhevere, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Tony Munyonga, Richard Ngarava, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani
In the last few months, Sikandar Raza has been in some really good form. He is Zimbabwe’s best player at the moment and will be a key wicket for Ireland as Raza has proved his ability to change a game in quick time.
Kyle Mayers is in the form of his life. With some good scores and a lot of potential, he is a contender for the player of the tournament, but will need to live up to expectations as he comes out to the middle.

West Indies are a better side on paper, but Zimbabwe are in pretty good touch. It is rare for them to come into an encounter with a better chance of winning, but that seems the case for the upcoming fixture.
