Australia's streak has come to an end as New Zealand and West Indies now look to join South Africa in the final in the hope of creating something new. West Indies has a World Cup win but New Zealand doesn't and a win for them will be a nice way to thank their senior pros while they can also set up a chance at seeing a new champion with South Africa already in the Final.
Date: October 18th, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Sharjah International Cricket Stadium
A hot evening with minimal dew is expected.
Spin is likely to play a large part in the upcoming game. Batting first with the dew factor unlikely is a better option.
Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine, Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Isabelle Gaze, Jess Kerr, Rosemary Mair, Lea Tahuhu, Eden Carson
Hayley Mathews, Qiana Joseph, Stefanie Taylor, Deandre Dottin, Shemaine Campbelle, Chinelle Henry, Aaliyah Alleyne, Zaida James, Afy Fletcher, Karishma Ramharack, Shamilia Connell
Deandre Dottin
Deandre Dottin is back. The World Boss makes her way to the World Cup after a shock retirement and West Indies will be very happy to have her back. She is a package which delivers with bat, ball and is very athletic making her a really useful player.
Amelia Kerr
Kerr is a top all-rounder going around. However her record against Australia like many New Zealand legends is something which leaves a lot to wonder. She has the technique on spin-friendly tracks and a performance from her will be the major difference.
Both sides are closely matched but New Zealand with their experience could be backing themselves a bit more. West Indies look good too, having fought injury concerns but New Zealand will be the ones believing a little more.
