Rishabh Pant, India’s star wicketkeeper, took to Twitter on Monday to express his gratitude to his fans and well-wishers for their support as he continues to recover from a horrific car accident that occurred toward the end of December of last year. Since the car accident, this is Pant’s first social media post.

“I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the @BCCI, @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support. From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field,”

Pant wrote on Twitter.

According to sources, India wicket keeper Pant, who sustained horrific injuries in a car accident last month, is most likely to miss the majority of 2023. According to the report, Pant’s latest medical update to the BCCI states that the impact of the car accident has torn all three important ligaments in his knee. Two of these ligaments have recently been reconstructed, and the third is expected to need surgery in six weeks.
