Scotland take on Zimbabwe in the final match of Pool B in the 2022 T20 World Cup at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart on Friday evening. Both teams have won one and lost one in the tournament and a win in this fixture will guarantee a place in the top two of the pool and progression to the second round. Scotland looked like they were on the verge of qualifying for the Super 12 stage but were beaten by an incredible innings from Curtis Campher on Wednesday. They will need to be at their best with the ball if they are to win here. Zimbabwe failed to back up their win over Ireland and were comfortably beaten by West Indies on Wednesday evening. Player for player, they have a stronger team than Scotland.

Warm afternoon sunshine will give way to clear skies on Wednesday evening with the temperature dropping from 17 degrees to 13. It is a good surface in Hobart and a total of around 170 is par. At the same time, there is something for the pace and spin bowlers on this pitch.
No Injury. It will be added when there is an update

There are talented players on either side but it is a fact that Zimbabwe play far more IT20s than Scotland. The greater match-practice could well be crucial for Zimbabwe. This should be an excellent contest between two teams who know that a win in this match will see them go forward to the Super 12 stage. Scotland have a strong batting line-up but they are lacking a real quick pace option. We are backing Zimbabwe to win. Considering the team combination, Zimbabwe is expected to win this match.
