Sri Lanka’s legends are having a really good time out in the middle. They are on top of the table and are looking in crisp touch as performances are coming with ease. South Africa are off to a decent start. Although they lost to India, a win to New Zealand got their tournament moving, and that will be a huge boost to their confidence.
Played- 2 | Sri Lanka Legends- 2 | South Africa Legends- 0 | Tie- 0
Date: 14th September 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Green Park, Kanpur
The weather is nice and cool during the SL-L vs SA-L fixture with some dew in the air. There are chances of an abandoned game though as Kanpur is seeing a lot of rain through the day and the outfield is a little too wet for play when the game is scheduled to take place.
The Kanpur track generally aids seamers a bit. There is a chance of spin too usually but with dew around at this time of the year the pitch is going to be pretty dead and batting is going to be easy. Batting second will be a better option.
TM Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Sanath Jayasuriya, Asela Gunaratne/ Isuru Udana, Chamara Silva, Thisara Perera, Jeevan Mendis, Nuwan Kulasekara, Chaminda Vaas, Dhammika Prasad, Dilruwan Perera
Alviro Peteresen, Henry Davids, Jacques Rudolph, Morne Van Wyk, Jonty Rhodes, Lance Klusenar, Vernon Philandar, Johan Botha, Makhaya Ntini, Eddie Leie, Garnett Kruger
Sanath Jayasuriya is enjoying his time out in the cricket field. He is one of those players who bought wholesale changes to the game in his time. An aggressive batter and a very capable left-arm spinner, Jayasuriya provides a package that will be worth gold in today’s game. In his prime, he could tie down line-ups with his spin alone, and he is doing the same beautifully in this tournament as well.
Johan Botha is a rather recent cricketer and has only announced his retirement couple seasons ago. He still has his skill though as his bowling is working well. He has a four wicket haul this tournament and can be more than handy with the bat when his time comes.

Sri Lanka and South Africa are both going very well at the moment. Sri Lanka though look like the side which is enjoying its time out their a touch more. They are firing in all aspects while South Africa are showing signs of inconsistency occasionally.
