Sri Lanka and UAE face off in Pool A’s fourth match on Tuesday evening at Kardinia Park, Geelong. Both teams lost their opening games on Sunday. Sri Lanka suffered a surprisingly heavy defeat to Namibia with UAE losing a close match with Netherlands. After suffering the embarrassment of a 55 run defeat to Namibia, we expect to see a big response from Sri Lanka in this game. They lost their opening game of the Asia Cup by eight wickets and went on to triumph. UAE may struggle to get closer to another team than in the three wicket defeat to Netherlands on Sunday. We expect a focused Sri Lanka side to be too strong for them in this match.

Sometimes a game goes completely wrong and that is pretty much what happened to Sri Lanka on Sunday afternoon. With the quality in their side, we expect to see them respond with a very professional performance. Although Namibia were never going to be easy opponents, Sri Lanka should never have been in a position to lose against them let alone by the large margin we saw on Sunday. As a result, we expect Sri Lanka to come out and show what they can do in this game. We are predicting a big win for Sri Lanka. Considering the team combination, Sri Lanka is expected to win this match.
