Dale Steyn along with VVS laxman chooses their respective dream team of XI after post match discussions of India and England warm up game. Steyn just makes a single change with Laxman’s team replacing Bhuvneshwar Kumar with Shami.
Legendary bowler Dale Steyn has framed a team of XI that he would want India to face against Pakistan during the first match of T20 World Cup on October 24 in Dubai. Steyn and VVS Laxman on Star Sports discussing on the start of India’s warm-up match against England, were asked to name India’s top XI players for the great rivalry against Pakistan. Steyn made just one change from the former Indian batsman’s list.
Rohit, Rahul, Kohli, Suryakumar, Pant, Pandya, Jadeja, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and Varun were Laxman’s preferences for India’s XI against Pakistan, to which Steyn added that he would prefer Shami over Bhuvi, as Bhuvi’s performance is going quite down these days. Shami has been in form these days. Talking about the selection of Hardik Pandya, Steyn addressed him as a ‘game changer’, adding that Pandya’s credibility to bat and bowl fixes his place in the top XI. Although Steyn agreed to the fact that Pandya’s uncertainty to bowl remains an issue, the former quickly backed Pandya’s batting skills as a threat for teams at the T20 World Cup.
After the current situation that Pandya has gone through, is a bit on-off moment for him but he is a fantastic player undoubtedly. Other teams should also be cautious and prepare themselves accordingly about this all rounder as Hardik Pandya can take the game away from any team with his magical strokes quite easily with the bat.
