Muneeba Ali, the wicketkeeper, was dismissed early for just 15 runs as Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. It was up to the experienced batsman Sidra Ameen to get Pakistan to a respectable score after the skipper Bismah Maroof died for just three runs.

While Ameen was getting close to a hard-fought 50, Nida Dar gave her good support from the other end. Dar was out after hitting a 22-ball 12 and Ayesha Naseem followed with a six in her brief innings. Ameen reached fifty more runs before being dropped after a 64-ball 56 at a crucial time when Pakistan desperately needed some quick runs to increase their scoring rate.In the 20 overs, the Women in Green were 116 for 5 thanks to Aliya Riyaz’s unbeaten ten. With 2 for 20 in her four overs, Thailand’s Sornnarin Tippoch was the best bowler.

Thailand’s Natthakan Chantham takes the batting lead.

In response, the Thailand team was very determined and put together a 40-run partnership for the first wicket. In the ninth over, Tuba Hassan took Pakistan’s first wicket, and two balls later, she struck out Chanida Sutthiruang for a duck.Natthakan Chantham and skipper Naruemol Chaiwai shared a crucial 42-run partnership at the crease for the third wicket.Even though Chantham scored the majority of the goals, Chaiwai was smart to always get to the other end.

But Pakistan got back into the game after Chaiwai was run out for 17, and the new batsmen couldn’t do much to change the outcome. Chantham lived to a great age, but she never found a partner to share her life with. In the 19th over, Chantham was run out for 61 off 51 balls despite a valiant effort. However, she managed to control the required rate before being dismissed, and Thailand needed ten runs off the final over to win. With an unbeaten nine-run knock, Rosenon Kanoh led her team to victory with a priceless boundary, winning the match by four wickets and one ball.
