When Devon Conway was drafted, he also dreamed of being led by MS Dhoni. Unfortunately, he resigned from the team as captain. Conway describes in a recent video chat with CSK the conversation he has with Dhoni regarding CSK leadership.

”MS was a great captain and I wanted to play under him. During our conversation, we talked about his leadership style. It’s so nice to have you as captain. Can I play under you next season? He said, however, that he would always be around. I really enjoyed it,” Conway explained. As he sat down for lunch with Dhoni and CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja while playing for the first time in yellow, Conway described being overwhelmed. Adding to that, he explained, “I sat between MS and Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) a few days ago at lunch. We got to know each other better.”

In the meantime, CSK lost their opener to KKR in spite of Dhoni’s 50* off 38 balls. Their next match (March 31) will be against LSG. The CSK XI may be altered after just one loss, which would be interesting to observe. In their match against IPL debutants, CSK will once again rely on Dhoni.
