Bangladesh lost to Scotland by 6 runs in T20 WC Qualifiers!

In the second match of the T20 world cup Group Stage qualifiers at Oman, Bangladesh faced Scotland where Scotland defeated Bangladesh by a narrow run difference of 6 runs.

In the Group B qualifiers of the T20 World Cup, Scotland defeated a strong team like Bangladesh by 6 runs at Al Amerat Cricket ground in Oman on Sunday. In the previous match, PNG faced Oman where Oman won by 10 wickets.

Bangladesh batsmen were stopped at 136/7 in 20 overs and Scotland chased the run target making 140/9. Scotland batsman Chris Greaves played stunning strokes making 45 from 25 deliveries, missing his half century for just two runs. Scotland lost 9 wickets, yet managed to get a narrow win against Bangladesh. Scotland were crawling to get runs as they were 6 wickets down with 53 runs in 12 overs, which created immense pressure on them to win the game, but Greaves, partnered with Mark Watt making 51 runs together which gave team Scotland a sigh of relief.

Greaves showed a climacteric role with his bowling skills too. After his charismatic performance with the bat, he took the most important wickets of star all-rounder Shakib-al Hasan (20) and Mushfiqur Rahim (38). Scotland, being an unnamed cricket team defeated a strong team like Bangladesh, that has quite a renowned face in International cricket. This shows that anything and everything can happen in cricket!
