Mohammad Rizwan and Mitchell Santner continue to lead the batting and bowling charts of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 respectively. India defeated Afghanistan by 8 wickets with 90 balls remaining in the ninth match of the tournament.
Batting first Hashmatullah Shahidi the captain of Afghanistan scored 80 while Azmatullah Omarzai added 62 runs to score 272/8. During the chase the 84-ball 131 by Rohit Sharma helped India comfortably win the match. Ishan Kishan missed his half-century by three runs as Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 55. The batting table remains unchanged meanwhile with Mohammad Rizwan leading the table.
