As the International Cricket Council has declared the points table for the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) as well as the bilateral series that will be important for the 2021-23 cycle initiating next month.

England captain Joe Root believes the ICC World Test Championship is the perfect platform for his side to improve in the longest format, due to the challenge of being at their best all the time.
