GT vs LSG: Krunal Pandya plays it cool after taking brother Hardik's wicket

During the clash of debutants of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Monday (March 28), Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya expressed his elation at his side’s victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Lucknow Super Giants made 158/6 in their 20 overs after two outstanding knocks from Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni, and Gujarat Titans chased the target with two balls to spare.

”It was a good game to learn from both sides, but we have learned a lot by winning. We got off to a great start because Shami is known for his seam positions. This wicket was perfect for 160. Mostly, I’ll bat at number four, so that the others can play freely while I take pressure off. The team wants to win and nobody can take that away from us,” Hardik said in a post-match presentation.  The mini-battle between Hardik and Krunal Pandya was discussed by Hardik Pandya.

”In addition to it being quite humid, I would not have been able to finish Shami’s spell. Considering the talent he has, Manohar is one to look at. His name will be heard soon. As for Tewatia, he was amazing. If we’d lost, getting to Krunal would have hurt more, but now I’m at peace with my family. We won, so I’m done with my family.” he added.

The Gujarat team chased the target of 159 with two balls to spare against Lucknow thanks to Rahul Tewatia’s unbeaten 40, Matthew Wade (30), Hardik Pandya (33), and David Miller (30).
