New Zealand outplayed India with spin in the first game, and really managed to hold the Indians with the ball. Their batting too was pretty good as the top-order finally found runs and enjoyed batting with some more intent. The series is on the line now for India as Hardik Pandya gears up for a new challenge in his captaincy with his team down in a series.

Played- 23 | India -13| New Zealand – 9 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 1
Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, Rahul Tripathi, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shivam Mavi, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh
Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner, Blair Tickner, Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson
Finn Allen’s returns were very disappointing in the ODI series. Seen as a talent for the future, his first visit to the subcontinent does not seem to be going to well. Now, in a format where he can play with a little more freedom, Finn Allen will have to find a way to find some confidence as he gears up for bigger challenges in his career.
Shubman Gill was exceptional in the ODI series. Cementing his spot as the next young talent from India, Gill looks good in all three formats and is doing really well with a lot of intent. He is only three games old in the shortest format but is showing a lot of potential to do a lot for his side.
