After the blowdown on October 24th, 2021, India and Pakistan take each other on as India look to settle things down after what happened in the last IND vs PAK encounter. This time around, both teams are missing some key players. Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Shah Afridi are out. India’s half-centurion in the last encounter is coming back after a break and will have a lot of attention on him due to his form. Likewise, Pakistan’s batting will be one to watch as they look very settled and are very good when they play in Dubai. The bowling though is a concern as Pakistan are battling injuries and will be coming in without any left-arm seamers for this tournament.
Played- 9 | India- 6 | Pakistan- 2 | Tie- 1
Date: 28th August 2022

Venue: Dubai International Stadium
The weather is clear and warm for the evening of India vs Pakistan encounter.
The Dubai Track is likely to be flat and good for batting. Dew will be a factor in the second half and the side batting second will be in with a huge advantage.
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin/ Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Naseem Shah
The spotlight is likely to be on Virat Kohli who is returning from a break and the top three of India reuniting, but India’s hopes will largely rest on Suryakumar Yadav. He is easily the most versatile batter on the Indian side and can attack with ease while playing a nice blend of unorthodox strokes against pace and spin. If anyone can shift the momentum against Pakistan it is him, and India will need him to score well badly.
In the T20 World Cup, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan took India apart with the bat. Both wickets are key yet again. Babar Azam is coming in with good form behind him and is rising as one of the best players in the current generation. If India is to stop Pakistan it will need to find a way past Babar Azam.

Pakistan made easy work of India in the T20 World Cup last year and should be very confident, especially with Virat Kohli out of form. India’s batting looks a touch inconsistent at the top and both sides are missing some key bowlers. Looking at the form Pakistan will walk in as a favorite despite records suggesting otherwise.
