The Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati is the venue for the second game of the three match IT20 series between India and South Africa. The hosts had an easy win in the opening match in Trivandrum where South Africa could only post 106-8 with India chasing down the target with 20 balls remaining. India disappointed in the 2022 Asia Cup but beat Australia in their series and are now 1-0 up against South Africa. They look to be coming into form at the right time before the T20 World Cup. South Africa will have been very disappointed with the start of the game when they fell to 9-5. There was no coming back from there but they have a team who can put in a far stronger performance in this match.

India was completely dominant in the opening IT20 on Friday and it is no surprise to see that they are clear favorites for this match. South Africa’s batters are capable of so much more than they produced in the first game of the series. We expect a much more competitive fixture in Guwahati although India will be very hard to beat. A fine opening spell of bowling from the Indian attack meant that South Africa was always way behind in the opening match of the series. We are predicting that South Africa will produce more runs at the top of the order in this game but are backing India to win again. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
